The "Teens Using Drugs: What To Know and What
To Do" program is presented by Ronald E. Harrison,
and is co-sponsored by Dawn Farm, the Livingston/Washtenaw Safe and
Drug Free Schools and Communities Act Consortium, and Saint Joseph Mercy Health
System Mission Services.

program possible! Ron Harrison
contributes his time and expertise to present this workshop series as a
community service, and has been doing so since the program began in
1999. Nancy Quay, LMSW has provided expert
back-up on the evenings Ron is unavailable to present, sometimes on short
notice. Our volunteers Rob and Don provide highly proficient audiovisual
support, and take care of everything that needs to be taken care of to ensure
all goes smoothly on the evenings of the presentations. Dawn
Farm, the Livingston/Washtenaw Safe and Drug Free Schools and
Communities Act Consortium, and Saint Joseph Mercy Health
System Mission Services co-sponsor the program, and provide support
and assistance. The series is funded with a grant from the Wal-Mart Foundation,

programs. Ron has over 35 years of experience working in diverse settings
with substance-involved teens and their families. He has presented numerous
education and training programs on teen substance abuse, addiction, recovery,

Nancy J. Quay, LMSW,
occasionally presents when Ron Harrison is not available. Nancy has been a
psychotherapist in private practice since 1997. In addition to standard
psychotherapy, Nancy offers addiction assessments and works with individuals,
couples, and families affected by addiction. She also provides life coaching
for both men and women. For

Dawn Farm
The goal of Dawn Farm is to assist addicts and alcoholics in achieving
long-term recovery. To accomplish this, Dawn Farm will identify and remove
barriers that prevent addicts and alcoholics from joining the recovering
community. The Dawn Farm community of programs includes residential
treatment services for ages 17 and over, outpatient treatment
services for ages 18 and over, sub-acute detoxification,
jail outreach education and
intervention, community/"street"
outreach and intervention, transitional housing,
and other support services for recovering addicts and alcoholics. Day
Break, a treatment program for adjudicated adolescents with
substance abuse problems, was begun in March 2004 as a collaborative program of

Livingston/Washtenaw Safe and
The Livingston and
Washtenaw SDFSCA Consortium provides staff development, program activities,
consultation and technical assistance to school districts in order to meet the
requirements of the Principles of Effectiveness for Safe and Drug-Free
Schools.

Saint Joseph Mercy Health System Mission Services
Mission Services is part of the Saint
Joseph Mercy Health System. The Mission Services Department provides
leadership to integrate the mission, values and Catholic identity into the
strategies and operations of the Saint Joseph Mercy Health System. Mission
Services has co-sponsored the “Teens Using Drugs: What To Know and What To Do”
program for several years; at this time, the co-sponsoring department within
the St. Joseph Mercy Health System is being discussed and may change. We’ll
post new information and a liaison as soon as it is determined!
